The following services are offered at
the Columbia Humane Society:
- Pet Adoption – Dogs and
cats of all sizes and colors - current on shots,
spay/neuter and a free 14-day local vet visit included.

NOTE: CHS is dedicated to helping end pet overpopulation. We strive to have each animal fixed prior to adoption, however sometimes our vet's schedule does conflict with an animal adoption. When this happens, we will release the animal with spay or neuter by dates and will cover the charge if our suggested vets are used. If the adopter chooses to use their own vet then CHS will reimburse a portion of the altering fee.
To discourage breeders there is one exception to this rule. We will not adopt out any pure breed or rare breed animal until they have been fixed. - Spay/Neuter Assist – Assistance in spay/neuter costs where financial need is demonstrated.
